I’ve been asking myself this question over and over again for the last few weeks.
What do I do different in 2012 now that I have a little bit of content?
What should my goals be?
Am I still a beginner or is it time to make big moves?
As you all know, the first few months of blogging can be pretty tough. It’s like you’re writing to yourself.
Many times before, I’ve quit during those months, never to see my past blogs take off like I once knew they would.
Things are definitely different this time around, though.
The only question is, what can we do different in 2012 to push our blogs to the next level?
All of a sudden, I feel like I know the answer to this question.
It’s not a glamorous answer that will give you goosebumps or maximize your confidence levels.
I’ll leave that for the gurus who know how to make you feel they way they want you to feel.
Instead, my answer is simple. At the very least, it will ensure you different results from your efforts in 2011.
Are you ready for a change?
Get Uncomfortable
At this point, as a fairly new blogger, that’s all you need to do.
Stop doing what you know you can do.
Stop hiding within the boundaries you’ve created for yourself.
Stop thinking that you’re too new in the blogging business to do certain things or affiliate with certain people.
You have to get to where you want to be somehow, right?
Well, the things you have been doing are fine and dandy, but you’re looking at the results they will bring you.
If you want to discover new levels of success, you have to embrace new methods of achieving results.
In 2012, step outside of your comfort zone.
Make everything you do challenging and difficult.
Start important tasks that you don’t necessarily understand how to finish, but have the confidence that you will get it done.
Do everything as if you were already on the level you were trying to reach.
Change can happen any day, but most would admit that it feels amazing to start something new on a Monday, the first of a month, or even better, the first day of a new year.
Here’s your opportunity.
Make 2012 a year of discomfort and big results.
What will you do differently in 2012?
